Where It All Began

BuzzClearʼs story starts with our founder and visionary biomedical engineer Dr. Bing L. Wong, Ph.D., whose research into alcohol metabolism began in 1974 at Tufts Universityʼs New England Enzyme Center. His early studies identified the two key enzymes involved in alcohol digestion degradation, specifically Alcohol Dehydrogenase (ADH) and Acetaldehyde Dehydrogenase (ALDH). 

Although initially shelved, the groundbreaking research resurfaced decades later.

In 2010, Dr. Wong revisited his pioneering work alongside his student and protegé Alan Law, focusing on the bodyʼs alcohol breakdown process. They successfully harnessed ADH and ALDH enzymes, essential in initially converting alcohol to acetaldehyde and then rapidly into the harmless acetic acidate, significantly reducing the harmful effects of alcohol consumption. This groundbreaking supplement is now available to you in easy to take capsules.
